PROGRAM SUMMARY <br /> <br />Statement of the Problem: <br />Many high risk youth come to the attention of the courts. Most have need of <br />psychological assessment, individual and/or group counseling; or family <br />counseling and casemanagement. Many have significant pre-delinquent substance <br />abuse, or school problems. Without intervention services with the youth and <br />their families (when possib%e), problems will increase. <br /> <br />Program C~oal: (Purpose of the Program) <br /> <br /> (1) To provide a program-dediCated comprehensive service for CBA eligible <br /> clients and families referred from courts to better respond to clinical <br /> service'needs'. The clinical staff used will be determined based on <br /> primary, presenting problem and family conditions. <br /> <br />Target Population: <br /> <br /> Youth between 7 and 17 referred by the courts and schools who exhibit <br /> delinquent, pre-delinquent, or significant substance abuse problems. <br /> <br />Measuxable Objective(s): <br /> I. The program will service approximately 12-15 clients at any time with a total <br /> of 30 youth receiving services. <br /> II. Fifty percent of youth involved in services will complete and show reduction <br /> in negative behavior. <br /> III. Training School admissions of students in ~rogram will decrease to or continue <br /> to be less than 20% for clients completing program. <br /> IV. Monitoring will be done through use of all approved CBA forms. <br /> <br />Information Maintainecl for Effectiveness Meas~re~mgnt: <br /> <br />Data collection on involvement and frequgncy as well as treatment outcomes is <br />collected. 0n students who become clients of the Cabarrus Center, treatment <br />records will be generated that are in compliance with Division of MH/MR/SAS <br />and CBA standards. <br /> <br />All CBA forms for reporting, billing, and progress will ~e used. <br /> <br /> <br />
