The type and extent of services clients
receive is based solely on client need and availability of funding.

Through :he in-home aide program we are presently serving 29% minority
population. This exceeds the 13.8% minority population of Cabarrus County
which is reflected in :he 1990 census statistics.

Based on current meed for services we do not have sufficient funds to
maintain current clients. We do continue to receive requests from clients
:ha: meet the need for in-home aide services. We will continue to assess
these requests so if funding becomes avaiiable :hey can be added to our
program.

We will continue co strive to serve the low income minority population.
In our CAP Program we are presently serving 15% in this group.

Outreach by :he agency has been accomplished by newspaper articles,
brochures,'home visits by social work staff, and contracts with other agencie~
Since funding is limited for these programs we will not implement any new
outreach programs, but will continue with our current outreach efforts which
have proven effective in the past.

As an agency thac receives funding from several sources we will assess
each case to be sure chat funding is used to best meet the needs of
clients and that Older Amer:cans Act funds are targeted towards low-income
minority individual:.
