Section IV. Landfill Management <br /> <br /> A. The county sanitary landfill may be used for the disposal <br />of solid waste by county residents and nonresident property owners. <br />The landfill shall be open during business hours as established by <br />the board. In emergencies, the landfill ma~ be opened for <br />additional hours as directed by the County Manager or the Manager's <br />representative. Except when open during regular business hours, <br />the landfill shall be kept locked, and entry shall not be <br />permitted. Solid waste shall be disposed of at the landfill in the <br />manner and according to procedures established by the county Health <br />Director or the Director's representative. <br /> <br /> B. The following wastes may not be disposed of in the county <br />sanitary landfill or in any privately-owned municipal solid waste <br />landfill: <br /> <br /> (1) Burning or smoldering materials, or any other <br /> materials that would create a fire hazard; <br /> <br /> (2) <br /> (3) <br /> <br /> (4) <br /> <br /> (5) <br /> <br /> (6) <br /> <br /> (7) <br />shredded; <br /> <br /> (9) <br /> (~0) <br /> <br />Hazardous waste; <br /> <br />Lead-acid batteries; <br /> <br />Liquid waste; <br /> <br />Untreated regulated medical waste; <br /> <br />Radioactive waste; <br /> <br /> Tires; unless they have been halved or <br /> <br />Used oil; <br /> <br />White goods; <br /> <br />Yard trash. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br /> <br />
