NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />PLANNING SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT of interlocal Cooperation, pursuant to the <br />terms and conditions of North Carolina General Statutes Chapter <br /> <br />160-A, Article 20, made and entered into this day of <br /> <br /> , 1992, by and between the TOWN OF MT. PLEASANT, North <br />Carolina (hereinafter referred to as "MT. PLEASANT"), and CABARRUS <br />COUNTY, North Carolina (hereinafter referred to as "CABARRUS"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: that -- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, MT. PLEASANT and CABARRUS agree that it is mutually <br />beneficial to coordinate comprehensive planning and to provide and <br />share staff and staff support therefore in a cost-efficient manner; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, MT. PLEASANT and CABARRUS desire to cooperate in an <br />undertaking pursuant to the terms of this Agreement; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises herein and <br />the mutual covenants and agreements hereinafter set forth, MT. <br />PLEASANT and CABARRUS agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Purpose. The purpose of this Agreement is to establish a <br />basis for cooperation between MT. PLEASANT and CABARRUS in staffing <br />personnel to provide for comprehensive planning services for both <br />MT. PLEASANT and CABARRUS. <br /> <br /> 2. Terms of Agreement. This Agreement shall commence upon its <br />final approval and execution by appropriate authority of both MT. <br />PLEASANT and CABARRUS, and shall terminate on June 30, 1993; <br />however, MT. PLEASANT and CABARRUS may extend the term of this <br /> <br /> <br />
