A. L. Brown High
GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT

School

NANCY R. BELL, PRINCIPAL

415 EAST FIRST STREET · KANNAPOLIS. NORTH CAROLINA 28083

April 6, 1992

Dear C.D.,

In all fairness to myself, to my work situation, and to the rest of the
CBA Task Force members, I feel compelled to offer my resignation from the
Task Force, effective immediately.

It has become almost impossible for me to be away from my office during
the regular school day, as we have only two conselors here at A~L. Brown High.
This creates a strain on the other personnel. My primary obligation rests
with my job, of course, and I need to be here as long as we have no additional
counselors.

I have certainly enjoyed my years with CBA. Good things have happened
for our children, and that is our purpose, after all. I feel that I have
made lasting friendships among Task Force members, and t admire and respect
you for your strong leadership. I consider my time with CBA as quality time
spent as an advocate for our young peoole.

In closing, I wish you and the CBA Task Force continued and growing success
as you search for alternatives for children in trouble and in distress. I
shall miss being with you, but will always be there in spirit and purpose.

Gratefully,

Becky Stone
