481 Burrage Road, NE
Concord, North Carolina 28025
(704) 786-4161

Elberl F. Thomas, Principal
D.M. Pruette, Assistant Principal

John V. Box 707
Concord, N. C. 28026-0707

Dear Mr. Fox:

It is my pleasure to recommend Nicole Gundlach for an
appointment to the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department
Advisory Board. Nicole will be an enthusiastic and responsible
member of this group.

Nicole is an outstanding student, maintaining an overall
academic average of 4.0 on a 4.0 scale and having been chosen
as a member of our National Honor Society. Ranked very near the
top of our junior class, she will serve as a marshall for graduation
this year.

Nicole is a multi-dimensional individual with many outside
interests and activities outside the classroom. As you can see
from the attached listing of her accomplishments, Nicole has
a sincere interest in others, a commitment to her community and
to society in general, and a strong ability to organize and to lead~
Since this listing was printed, Nicole has been nominated to
attend the N. C. Governor's School and will represent our~county
at the N. C. Girls' State in Greensboro. She is extremely interested
in governmental service.

It would be difficult to imagine a student who would be a
greater asset to your board. I strongly endorse her application.

Sincerely,

Evelyn Barrier, Counselor
