RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE <br />CABARRUS COUNTY CABLE FRANCHISE COMMISSION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 17.1 of the Cabarrus County Cable <br />Television Ordinance adopted November 9, 1978 (the "Ordinance"), <br />the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners (the "Board") reserved <br />the option to designate a Commission to promote and develop access <br />to cable television within Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board deems that it is appropriate and useful to <br />establish a Cabarrus County Cable Franchise Commission (the <br />"Commission") to promote and develop access to cable television <br />within Cabarrus County and to advise the Board regarding issues <br />related to the provisions of such utility services. <br /> <br /> IT IS, THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Board that the Commission <br />be and the same is hereby established as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Membership. The Commission shall be comprised of nine (9) <br />members appointed by the Board, each of whom shall be a resident <br />of Cabarrus County. Each member shall be appointed to fill a <br />specific seat on the Commission, representing the following areas <br /> <br />and for the following initial term: <br /> <br />Seat Number Area Represented Initial Term <br />1 Township 1 1 year <br />2 Township 2 2 years <br />3 Townships 3 & 4 3 years <br />4 Townships 5, 6 & 7 1 year <br />5 Townships 8 & 9 2 years <br />6 Townships 10 & 11 3 years <br />7 At large 1 year <br /> <br /> <br />
