CABARRUS COUNTY <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 105, Article 2, of the North Carolina General <br />Statutes, counties may levy privilege license taxes on certain business activities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners adopted a Privilege <br />License Tax Ordinance on May 1, 1972; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners modified the Privilege License Tax <br />schedule on May 18, 1992; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has determined that a privilege license tax <br />is not in the best interest of the citizens of Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners on August 3, 1992 repealed the Privilege <br />License Tax Ordinance and Privilege License Tax Schedule as of July 1, 1992; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Commissioners to refund those monies <br />which have been collected for Cabarrus County privilege licenses for the period of July 1, <br />1992 through June 30, 1993; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners does hereby direct Terry Rowland, Tax Administrator, to refund those <br />monies which have been collected for privilege licenses for the period July 1, 1992 through <br />June 30, 1993, a list of which is attached as Exhibit A and included by reference as a part <br />of this resolution. <br /> <br />Adopted this the 17th day of August, 1992. <br /> <br />Carolyn B.
