No ¢, 2~026- ~149 · Arco Code <br /> William F, Pilkfngton, Health Director <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the waste disposal crisis in Cabarrus County is a <br />phenomenon that has spawned many recycling activities. Among these, <br />one is our curbside collection program. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this program started off with very high participation <br />rates, only to see them decline in the next year. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, with the situation continuing to decline, the Cabarrus <br />County Health Department is planning a Recycling Campaign "Turn <br />Trash Into Cash." <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the citizens of Cabarrus County are encouraged to <br />increase their efforts in reducing the amount of trash going to the <br />landfill by removing all recycling items and placing them in the <br />appropriate recycling container. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFGRE, I, Carolyn Carpenter, Chairman of the <br />Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners, do hereby proclaim the month <br />of September, 1992 as: <br /> <br />RECYCLING MONTH IN CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />and call upon all citizens to participate in all activities planned in <br />celebration of the event. <br /> <br /> IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and cause <br />the Seal of Cabarrus County to be affixed this 17th day of August, <br />1992. <br /> <br />Carolyn Carpenter <br />Chairman, Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />Equal (-)?portunity/Affirmaffve A trio,, £.tl~loyer <br /> <br /> <br />
