Witherspoon, County Manager <br /> <br />Don Moorhead, Personnel Officer <br /> <br />DATE: September 30, 1992 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Leave Sharing Policy <br /> <br />It is requested that the attached "Leave Sharing Policy for Employees of Cabarrus County <br />Government" be approved for use effective January 1, 1993. Such a policy allows employees <br />to assist one another when all available leave is exhausted due to serious and prolonged <br />medical conditions. It is designed so that no additional funding will be needed to support <br />the program. <br /> <br />This version of the policy differs from the one proposed in the September 8th agenda in that <br />it provides for the sharing of only vacation (annual) leave and establishes a one year trial <br />period. <br /> <br />This policy has been developed in response to concerns of our employees and with input <br />from the County's Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Please contact me if you have any questions. <br /> <br />DM/thh <br /> <br />Attachment <br /> <br />375 2= !-;' <br /> <br /> <br />
