P%e 3 <br />Cabarrus County <br />September 25, 1992 <br /> <br />Regional Activities <br /> <br />Building Permit Project - Continued to work with Counties to develop a monthly <br />building permit reporting system. Collected back information on permits issued <br />since January, 1992. <br /> <br />GIS - Received GIS proposal for hardware and software from ESRI. Made a <br />presentation of the proposal to the COG Executive Committee. <br /> <br />Data Center - Continued to monitor and collect statistical information relating to <br />municipalities and counties within the Region and State. Disseminated information <br />upon request. <br /> <br />Zoning Administration - Attended the Annual Conference of the North Carolina <br />Association of Zoning Officials to review techniques in zoning inspection, <br />landscaping, screening and buffer regulations as well as current legislative updates. <br /> <br />Emergency Services Activities <br /> <br />Held two Emergency Medical Dispatch Courses in cooperation with Rowan- <br />Cabarrus Community College August 13-15 and 17-19. All 17 Cabarrus County <br />Sheriff's Department telecommunications personnel participated. <br /> <br />Regional Activities <br /> <br />- Held a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing meeting to discuss long range planning. <br /> <br />Finalized contracts for Medical Director, BTLS classes, CISD Clinical Coordinators, <br />EMD courses and the N.C. State and Federal Block Grant. <br /> <br />Met with several vendors on the CPR manikin issue. <br /> <br />Water Quality/Rivers <br /> <br />Met with officials from the Urban Institute to <br />Environmental Academy which would serve <br />government officials. <br /> <br />discuss the development of a <br />as a training facility for local <br /> <br />Worked with officials from the Urban Institute to plan an October 21 conference on <br />the Catawba River. <br /> <br />Held meeting of the Catawba River Task Force. <br /> <br /> <br />
