CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />JTPA Activities <br /> <br />Conducted Private Industry Council (PIC) and Job Training Consortium Meeting <br />at Centralina COG on 10/20/92. Attended by Cabarrus County PIC members <br />(James Polk, Tonia Black-Gold). <br /> <br />Prepared and distributed information to PIC Oversight/Evaluation and Planning <br />Committee members on 10/12/92 (for 10/20/92 PIC/Consortium meeting). <br />Included carryover funds projections, PY 91 final reports, monitoring/evaluation <br />results, and 1992 SYETP reports. <br /> <br />Conducted NCETGP-Fund 3590 program monitoring of N.C. Department of Labor <br />Special Customized Training activity (including worksite visits) in Concord on <br />10/22/92. Conducted Financial Monitoring of JTPA activities operated by ESC and <br />NCDOL in Raleigh on 10/28 - 10/29/92. <br /> <br />Attended North Carolina Employment, Education, and Training Conference at <br />Research Triangle Park on 10/14 - 10/16/92. Included COG JTPA staff, PIC <br />members (Jim Lunsford), and Cabarrus County contractor staff. <br /> <br />Provided in-service training to new JTPA specialist (Mr. Fred Lloyd) at ESC- <br />Concord local office on 10/26/92. <br /> <br />Participated in "Assessment and Employability Development Planning" workshop <br />sponsored by City of Charlotte Employment and Training Department on 10/26 - <br />10/27/92. <br /> <br />Participa.ted in Cabarrus County Food Stamps Employment and Training Program <br />planning meeting at ESC office in Concord on 10/27/92. <br /> <br />Reviewed, processed, and corrected Monthly Performance Reports from program <br />contractors. <br /> <br />Provided technical assistance to JTPA contractor staff. <br /> <br />Processed Monthly Financial Status Reports and Requests for Funds from program <br />contractors. <br /> <br />Aging Activities <br /> <br />Home and Community Care Block Grant Services (HCCBG) <br /> <br />Facilitated the monthly meeting and developed materials for the Home and <br />Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee to continue working on the <br />Cabarrus County Aging Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
