NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br /> CONTRACT # <br />DATE APPROVED BY BOC <br /> DRAFT <br /> 12/16/92, 10:30 a.m. <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF THE "HARRISBURG LOOP" WATER LINE <br /> AND RELATED MATTERS <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT of Interlocal Cooperation, pursuant to Article <br />20 of Chapter 160A of the General Statutes of North Carolina, made <br />and entered into as of the date of last governing board action <br />hereinafter set forth, by and between the CITY OF CONCORD, NORTH <br />CAROLINA (hereinafter referred to as "CONCORD"), the TOWN OF <br />HARRISBURG (hereinafter referred to as "HARRISBURG"), and the WATER <br />AND SEWER DISTRICT OF CABARRUS COUNTY (hereinafter referred to as <br />"CABARRUS"); <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CONCORD operates and maintains a municipal water <br />system which includes, but is not limited to, a one million <br />(1,000,000) gallon water tank off Morehead Road at the Charlotte <br />Motor Speedway and a 12-inch water distribution line along Morehead <br />Road which currently terminates approximately one (1) mile north of <br />Mallard Creek and north of the town limit of HARRISBURG; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, HARRISBURG operates a public water system within the <br />town which includes, but is not limited to, water distribution <br />lines, tanks and wells and purchases from CABARRUS a significant <br />portion of the treated water it resells to its customers; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, CABARRUS operates a public water system which <br />includes a 12-inch water distribution line along N. C. Highway 49 <br />which currently terminates near Mineral Research Corporation and a <br />separate line along Roberta Road from which CABARRU$ currently <br /> <br /> <br />
