Submitted To: <br />Submitted By: <br /> <br />Subject: <br />Date: <br /> <br /> PROPOSAL <br /> <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br /> <br />Londa Strong, Assistant Parks & Recreation <br />Director <br /> <br />Youth Athletic League Responsibilities <br />December 1, 1992 <br /> <br />To better serve all citizens of the county, a proposal to transfer <br />responsibilities and money to the Athletic Districts has been made. <br />Specifics of that recommendation are contained herein. <br /> <br />In the case that an Assistant Athletic Supervisor's position is not <br />approved in FY 93-94 Budget, the following plan is proposed <br />effective July 1, 1993. <br /> <br />Reorganization of the Athletic Board will be first and foremost. <br />Officers must be elected and responsibilities broadened. The Board <br />would govern the' respective leagues (Soccer, Basketball, <br />Baseball/Softball, and Football) and determine rules and format. <br />Responsibilities would be as follows: <br /> <br />ATHLETICS PARKS & RECREATION <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> -elect officers <br /> -set all dates <br /> 'review /change rules <br /> -make schedules <br /> -keep standings <br /> -review rosters <br /> -prepare tournament pairings <br /> -settle disputes/protests <br />-schedule officials <br />* -payment of officials <br /> , supply trophies <br /> <br />* 4 Year Transferal <br /> <br />1993 100% <br />1994 75% <br />1995 50% <br />1996 25% <br />Never pay less <br /> <br /> -serve as an ex-officio member <br /> -type/print materials <br /> -secure facilities <br /> -upkeep of facilities <br />-payment of gym supervisors <br />* -payment of officials <br /> -enforcement of specific rules <br /> <br />Program <br /> <br />Payment of officials by County <br />Payment of Officials by County <br />Payment of Officials by County <br />Payment of Officials by County <br />than 25% by County <br /> <br />Entry fees will be based on percentage of payment of officials <br />(same as current policy) <br /> <br /> <br />
