PUBLIC NOTICE <br /> <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> STATE <br /> OF <br /> <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT CO~.~ISSION <br /> <br /> POST OFFICE BOX 27687 <br /> <br /> NOTIFICATION OF PROPOSED CONSENT SPECIAL ORDER <br /> <br /> Public Notice is hereby given of a proposed Consent <br /> Special <br /> Order for a release from underground storage tanks for the <br /> following: <br /> - <br /> Incident ~5928, Kar Mar Tire, intersection of Lane Street and <br /> 01d Concord-Salisbury Road, Concord, Cabarrus County where a <br /> re~ease from an underground storage tank system was reported <br /> to the State on March 27, 1990. The responsible party has <br /> agreed to conduct a comprehensive site assessment to determine <br /> the extent of the soil and groundwater contamination. <br /> <br /> On the basis of thorough staff review and application of the <br />appropriate General Statutes and other-lawful standards and <br />regulations, the North Carolina Environmental Management Commission <br />proposes to issue a Consent Special Order for the aforementioned <br />incident effective September &, 199] .. <br /> <br /> wishing on or object to the proposed Order <br /> Persons <br /> to <br /> comment <br />are invited to submit same in writing to the Mooresville Regional <br />Office, Post Office Box 950, Mooresville, North Carolina 28115 by <br /> August 20, ]991 <br />that date will be ~onsidered in2 uheAll <br /> comments <br /> received <br /> prior <br /> to <br /> approval of the proposed Order. <br />A public meeting may be held should the Director of the Division of <br />Environmental Management find a significant degree of public <br />interest in a proposed Order. <br /> <br /> The Consent Special Order and other information may be <br />inspected at the Mooresville Regional Office, 919 North Main <br />Street, Mooresville, during normal office hours. Copies of the <br />information on file are available upon request and payment of the <br />costs of reproduction. All comments or requests regarding the <br />proposed Order should make reference to the incident number listed <br />above. <br /> <br /> ~George T.
