Jr. for the adoption of the following <br /> <br />re~olution, ~nd upon being put to a vote was duly adopted. <br /> <br /> WI~REAS, the North Carolina D epaztment of Transportation has received a <br />--~-ant ftc:'-' (}~e US Department of Trlmsportation authorized by Section 18 of <br />Urban lk.r,.r.s~. TransPortation Act of 1964, as amended, to provide assistance for rural <br />public trhnsportation projects; and <br /> <br /> V, _r!~...P~..AS, the purpose of these tr~n~.portation funds is to provide <br /> <br />grant monies to local agencies for the provision of tm-al public transportation <br />services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2B of Chapter 136 of the North Carolina General <br /> <br />.... ~.(~_ Governor of No,-"ch Carolina have designated the North Carolina <br /> <br />Depar~mnt of Transportation (NCDOT) as the agency responsible for <br />arlmin~sterlng funds ~eceived through Section 18 of the Urban Mass Transportation <br />Act of 1964; and <br /> <br /> ~V'I~I~].P~I~/~.~, Cabarrus County . has assured and certified <br />to the NCDOT that it will comply with the FQderal Statutes, regulations, executive <br />orders, the Epecial Sect/on !3 (c) Warranty, and all aarn(n~strative requ/rement~ <br />which relate to the applications made to and grants received from the Urban Mass <br />Transportation Aa'm(uistration, as well as the pro,i~ons of SeCtion 1001 of Title 18, <br />U. 8.
