Wltherspoon, County Manager <br /> <br /> Henry Waldroup, Utilities Director <br />PROM: <br /> <br />SUBT: Procedure Amendments <br />DAT~: No%,e~er 26, ~991 <br /> <br />In review of current Utility Department procedures, in discussion <br />with our Board liaison, Chairman Billy Simmons, and recognizing <br />these are Board decisions, the Utility Department Staff would llke <br />to suggest the fol!o~ln9 amendments: <br /> <br /> 1. The increase of the water tap-on fee from $550 dollars to <br /> $975 dollars, maintaining the $50 dollar security fee and $25 <br /> dollar set-up fee. <br /> <br /> 2. The establishment of a front footage assessment charge <br /> based upon a ~00 linear foot minimum and a 200 linear foot <br /> maximum. A recommended Sf dollar per foot assessment be used <br /> resulting in a $200 dollar minimum and $400 dollar maximum. <br /> <br /> 3. For determining project feasibility, the establishment of <br /> a minimum number of potential customers per 2000 linear foot <br /> of pipe or the percentage of the existing potential customers <br /> that would immediately water lines if eztended. <br /> use <br /> <br /> 4. Should the Board adopt the new tap-on fee, that a forty- <br /> five (45) day period be allotted for current potential <br /> customers to make connection to existing lines using the <br /> current tap-on fees. <br /> <br /> <br />
