Planning and Zoning Commission voted 8-0 to <br />recommend denial of this petition. <br /> <br /> SM~T.~. AREA PLAN ADOPTION <br /> <br />(1) The Midland Area Plan is presented for review and possible adoption <br />as a policy guide. The Planning and Zoning Commission voted 8-0 to <br />recommend approval of this plan with the following clarifications and <br />amendments: <br /> <br /> 1. All recon~endations citing the inclusion of the School <br /> Facilities recommendations into this should reference <br /> Study <br /> Plan <br /> Board of Education Facility recommenda'tions instead. <br /> <br /> 2. Utility recommendations should emphasize the pursuit of a <br /> regional waste treatment and collection system with consideration <br /> of a system entirely within Cabarrus County only if the regional <br /> option is not feasible. <br /> <br /> Amendment to <br /> "Ordinance for Issuing Permits and Prescribing Fees for Permits <br /> and Inspections for Cabarrue County." <br /> <br />Proposed amendment to read, No applicant may obtain a permit of any kind <br />without correcting all code defects in his/her work performed under a <br />previously issued permit. <br /> <br /> Planning and Zoning Department <br /> P.O.
