NHCAC Membership Guidelines <br /> Page 2 <br /> <br /> One third of all appointments are to be nominated by nursing home <br /> administrators. If the administrators fail to make a nomination <br /> within 45 days after written notification, such appointments may <br /> be made by the commissioners. <br /> <br /> Committee members completing the initial term may be reappointed <br /> for a thre__e year term. (You may contact the Regional Ombudsman to <br /> determine if the committee member has been active and effective.) <br /> <br />· Any vacancies should be filled by appointment of a person for a one <br /> year term. <br /> <br /> The state Division of Aging may fill any vacancy if the <br /> commissioners have not made appointments within 45 days. <br /> <br /> Members of the committee are not compensated for their work, but <br /> may be reimbursed for their actual expenses (such as mileage).
