Eades, Personnel Officer~.~y,I <br />SUBJECT: Contract for Drug Testing Services <br /> <br />Please find enclosed a contract with Wolfe and Associates to conduct <br />pre-employment drug testing for Cabarrus County. Wolfe and Associates <br />has agreed to provide the County with the following services: <br /> <br /> l. Contract with CompuChem Laboratory, a NIDA certified testing <br /> laboratory, for drug screening, both initial screening and Gas <br /> Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry confirmatory screening. <br /> CompuChem will test for amphetamines, marijuana, cocaine, <br /> opiates and PCP. <br /> <br /> 2. Collection of specimens for drug testing, following Department <br /> of Transportation regulations and using proper chain-of-custody <br /> procedures. <br /> <br /> 3. Overnight delivery of specimens to CompuChem Laboratory. <br /> <br /> 4. Medical Review Officer (MRO) services through Duke <br /> University Medical Center. The MRO will review all drug <br /> testing results, including laboratory determination, applicant <br /> medical records or medical history, .'md applicant interview <br /> where necessary. <br /> <br /> 5. Reporting of positive or negative results by facsimile <br /> transmission and U. S. Mail. <br /> <br /> 6. Toll-free watts line to MRO for use by County, County <br /> employees and County applicants. <br /> <br /> 7. Storage of results according to Federal guidelines. <br /> <br /> <br />
