MEMO <br /> <br />TO: Mike Ruffin, County Manager <br /> <br />FROM: Angela Ferguson, Interim Director <br /> Sharon Ritchie, Nutrition Program Coocdinator <br /> Department of Aging <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Food Service Bids for Nutritidn Program for the Elderly <br /> Fiscal Yeal 1990-91 <br /> <br />Bids were received and opened from bidders for the nutrition program <br />food service on April 3, 1990 in the Courthouse Commissioners Meeting <br />Room. Two bids were received from the following: <br /> <br /> Service Master Education Food Management <br /> P. O. Box 160 - HWy. 65 North <br /> Marshall, Missouri 65340 <br /> BID: $2.30 <br /> <br /> Consolidated Coin Caterer's Corp. <br /> 4808 Chesapeake Drive <br /> Charlotte, N.C. 28216 <br /> BID: $2.3476 <br /> <br />We have been recei~fng excellent service from our current food service <br />contractor which is Consolidated Coin Caterer's Corp. The low bid is <br />from the Service Master Company which currently serves the Rowan County <br />Nutrition Program. Sources verify they receive excellentservice whidh <br />w~ll be prepared from the Catawba College Food Service facilities. <br /> <br />The contract specifies 63,000 meals for fiscal year 1991. With the <br />higher bid, there will be m difference of $2,998.80 in cost for the <br />food service. <br /> <br />We request that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners award the bid <br />for this program. <br /> <br />We are requesting to be om the agenda for the next commissioners meeting <br />on Monday, April 16, 1990. <br /> <br />Please advise us if additional information is needed. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br /> <br />
