After a one-year lapse in membership, said <br /> member is eligible for reappointment. <br /> <br /> No Advisory Committee shall be employed by an Agency which <br /> is receiving Older American Act funds. <br /> <br /> At least 50% of appointees should be over 60 years of age. <br /> The Committee meets about once every three months and <br /> advises the staff and COG Board on the Area Plan, allocation <br /> of funds, etc. <br /> <br /> C. Specific Requests <br /> <br /> James Graeber has served one term and may be reappointed if you <br /> wish. <br /> <br />II. Centralina Development Corporation, Inc. <br /> <br /> A. Membership <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County has three (3) of twenty-five {25) members. They are <br /> appointed by the County Commissioners and represent (1) local <br /> government (2) Ioca~ private lending institutions (3) local community <br /> organizations (4) business organization (the local government <br /> representative may - but need not be a local electeC official). <br /> <br /> The membership meets once a year (annual meeting) and elects two <br /> of the three members of the Board of Directors. The Board meets <br /> on the last Tuesday of each month at 3 p.m. as needed. The Board <br /> in addition to establishing the practices, policies and procedures, <br /> reviews loan application from applicants throughout the region. Most <br /> members are finanically oriented in that they are or have been <br /> employed by a bank or savings and loan, they are active in the area <br /> of economic developr~ent or they have experience in operating a <br /> buisness. We encourage the Commissioners to reappoint as many <br /> members as reasonable. It is imperative that the member, if elected <br /> to the Board, be willing to actively participate and attend the monthly <br /> meetings on a regular basis. <br /> <br /> <br />
