PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the spirit of volunteerism has long inspired <br /> generations of Carolinians to give of their time <br /> and talents to help others; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Carolina Gives is a regional voluntary initiative <br /> to increase charitable giving and volunteering; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is in the Carolinas a largely untapped <br /> wealth of resources and talent among the <br /> citizens, and it is desirable that these citizens <br /> beco~ne iuvolved by giving of themselves to <br /> i~nprove the quality of life in their communities. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, James W. Lentz, Chairman of the <br />Cabarrus Board of County Commissioners, under and by virtue of <br />the authority vested in me, do hereby endorse and com~nend the <br />Caroliua Gives initiative. <br /> <br /> This the 18th day of June, 1990. <br /> <br /> .Jtfmes W.
