I CONTRACT TO PROVIDE TAX DISTRICT FIRE SERVICE NORTH CAROLINA CkBARAU$ COUNIY This contract, made and entered into this 1st day of July, 1990, by and between the ', a nonprofit corporation, and the County of Cabarrus: ~ITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter contained, and pursuant to authority granted by G.S. 69-25.5, G.S. 69-25.6, and G.$. 153A-233, the ' and the County of Cabarrus do hereby covenant and agree as follows: 1. The County of Cabarrus~grees to annually levy and collect upon all taxable property lying within the Cabarrus County boundaries of the * Rural Fire ProtectiOn Tax D~strict an ad valorem property tax equal to_ cents per one hundred ($100.00) valuation, and after deduction of the County's a~mfn!stratfve charge (5%) for collection of such taxes, to PaY the same to the · All zonfes collected will be paid to the fire department regardless of actual dollars budgeted. 2. The * agrees to furnish and provide continuing fire protection service to all pr6perty lying within the boundaries ofthe Rural Fire Protection Tax District by dispatching upon call any or all of its equipment and adequate personnel to operate same. 3. The Tax Collector of the County of Caharrus shall collect the ad valorem taxes so levied and shall make pa)~ent of the same to the ..... monthly as collections are ~ade. 4. This contract may be terminated by either party at the end of any fiscal year by giving 90 days written notice of its intent to so terminate to the other party.
