Hr. James F. Cook, Jr., Social Services Director, briefly reviewed the <br />application for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (33DP) funds in the <br />amount of $4~.086.00 for Fiscal Years 1990-1991 and 1991-1992. He explained <br />that the program would replicate the "Home Remedies Program' and would provide <br />for a social worker/therapist to york intensively with fsm[l[es ~here child <br />abuse or neglect has been identified and where such services can prevent the <br />necessity of placin§ the children in foster care. <br /> UPON HOTION of Co.missioner Hamby, seconded by Commissioner Melvin and <br />unanimously carried, the Board authorized the submission oft he Juvenile Justice <br />and DelinquencyPrevention (JJDP) §rant application by the Department of Social <br />Services for $44,086.00 in funding for each of the next two fiscal years. <br /> <br />April 2, 1990 <br /> <br /> <br />
