Specialty networks such as ~N, C-SP.~,
ESPN, ~IC~gODEON and DISCOV~Y abound - and more are on the way -
showcasing new and exclusive quality events like the recent "Goodwill
Games" from Turner Broadcasting.

I am also happy to report that the cable industry has entered a new age of
co~itment to se~ice. In our system we have adopted a set of customer
s.e~ice standards-that m~et or exceed those of the ~attonal Cable Television
~soctation. ~r staff has gro~ by more than thirty percent and extensive
new training progra~ have been initiated to achieve and ~ntatn a consist-
ently high level of customer se~ice,

In order to insure continued good se~lce, wide coverage and state-of-the~
art technology, we find it necessa~ to increase the monthly se~tce rate
for a basic cable subscription by $1.25 - to $16.00 per month. No other
rates ~11 increase. Premium se~lces, remote controls, additional outlets,
and our exceptionally affordable $1.00 pet month broadcast ~ semite will
re, tn the same. ~ you can see by the enclosed comparison of area cable
