NCACC Conference BUlletin Important Registration Information for 1990 Legislative Goals Conference December 12-13, 1990 Pinehurst ~qooro County), N.C. ABOUT THE CONFERENCE The 1990 Legislative Goals Conference of the N.C. Association of County Commissioners will be held on December 12-13,19~}0, at the world-famous Pinchunt Hotel and Country Club in Pinehunt, N.C. The hotel ,~4_11 be all decked out for Chrlsunas and guests can enjoy shopping in the Pinehurst area. The purpose of the Legislative Goals Conference is to bring together county officials from across the stale to vote on proposed legislative goals for the 1991 and 1992 sessions of the General Assembly. A package of proposed goals will be mailed out to county officials about two weeks prior to the Conference. Voting delegates will be selected by each county to vote on the goals. However, even if you are not a voting delegate, you are urged to attend the conference and participate in discussions of issues. ABOUT THE PhNEHURST HOTEL & COUNTRY CLUB The Pinehurst Hotel and Countny Club is famous for its hospitality and old South charm. It is a unique facility and there are several items you should keep in mind: 1. Official check-in time is NOT UNTIL 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is NOON. However, it is very likely that rooms will be available for check-in much earlier. There will be time to check in between the meeting and the reception (between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.) 2. Note thai a service charge of 15% will be added to )'our room upon check-out, so you should NOT tip bellmen or restaurant servers. 3. Your room rate of $91 singie or $65 per person double includes breakfast and dinner. Thus, when you pay $130 total for two people in a room, a portion of that amount goes toward the cost of ),our meals, including the banquet on Dec. 12. 4. The purehase of meal lickers for the banquet is required only for those people staying outside ofth~ hotel. You will be asked to present proof that you are staying in the hotel otto present tickets. The cost of the reception prior to dinner and all coffee breaks is included in ),our registration fee. 5. With regaid to other meals at the hotel, the holel has a full breakfast buffet in the Carolina Dining Room. If you arrive on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and plan to eat dinner in tho Dining Room, please NOTE that ginllemen must wear jackels for dinner (ties are optional). HOTEL RESERVATIONS A hotel reserva~on form is enclosed that you should return to Pinehunt Hotel by November 11~ 1~90. After that date, the rooms w~LI be released to the public and you will not be able to get the low~ rate of S91 single and $65 pea' l~on double occupancy (thee tales include breakfast and dinner). A on.c-night deposit is required (either check or credit card). Thi~ deposit will be refunded in full if you cancel by November 27, 1990. --OVER--
