NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEAR/NS <br /> FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO NC 24-27 FROM <br /> EAST OF NC 51 TO THE WEST CITY LIMITS <br /> OF LOCUST AT BROWNS HILL ROAD (SR 1142) <br /> <br /> Project 6.689001T R-615 Mecklenburg, <br /> R-2104 Cabarrus & Stanly Co.'s <br /> <br /> The North Carolina Department of Transportation wil-1 hold <br /> the above Public Hearing on November 27, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. in <br /> the Bethel Elementary School, NC 24-27 at Midland. <br /> <br /> The hearing will consist of an explanation of the proposed <br />design, right of way requirements and procedures, and <br />relocation advisory assistance. The hearing will be open to <br />those present for statements, questions, comments and/or. <br />submittal of material pertaining to the proposed project~ <br />Additional material may be submitted for a period of fifteen <br />days from the date of the hearing to: C. B. Goode, Jr., P.E., <br />P.O. Box 25201, Raleigh, NC 27611. <br /> <br /> The project will widen NC 24-27 to a four lane divided <br />roadway with a 30 foot median in one section, a five lane curb <br />and gutter facility in another section, and a four lane divided <br />roadway with a 46 foot median in the third section. Additional <br />right of way and several relocations will be required. <br /> <br /> A map setting forth the location and design and copies of <br />the Environmental Assessment are available for public review at <br />the Locust Town Hall, 217 West Main Street. <br /> <br /> Anyone desiring additional information concerning the <br />public hearing may contact Mr. Goode at the above address or <br />919/250-4092. <br /> <br /> <br />
