Resolution Establishing Written Exemption <br /> Of Particular Contracts for the Procurement of <br /> Architectural~ Engineerinq~ and surveying Services <br /> Pursuant to Section 143-64.32(b) of the <br /> General Statutes of North Carolina <br /> <br /> 1. WHEREAS, upon motion on June 17, 1985, the Board of <br /> Commissioners of Cabarrus County (hereinafter "the Board"), <br /> authorized the Count~. Manager to contact three or more firms to <br /> enter into competitive negotiations, to select a consultant to <br /> prepare a site selection' plan, an environmental impact study, and <br /> an airport master plan for a proposed general aviation airport as <br /> authorized by Chapter 63 of the General Statutes; <br /> <br /> 2. WHEREAS, on or about June 17, 1985, the Cabarrus County <br /> Manager invited proposals pursuant to the Board's resolution of <br /> June 17, 1985, from eight potentially qualified professional <br /> services firms -- five in North Carolina, two in Georgia, and one <br /> in South Carolina; <br /> <br /> 3. WHEREAS, on September 16, 1985, the Cabarrus County <br />Manager reported to the Board the recommendation of the selection <br />of & firm from the five responding, for an Airport Feasibility <br />Study for Cabarrus County at a cost of $44,908, with prospects of <br />a 50/50 matching grant from the Aviation Division of the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation, and further ma~e <br />appropriate recommendations to the Board on the scope of the <br />· ' study; <br /> <br /> 4. $~EREAS, on September 16, 1985, the Board, upon motion, <br /> awarded the contract for the Airport Feasibility Study to Wilbur <br /> <br /> <br />
