The Board shall permit a change <br /> in use only if the new use is equally or more <br />I compatible w/th the area and the permitted uses in <br /> the district in which it is lOCated as a <br /> non-conforming use. Application for a change of <br />I non-conforming use shall follow Section 9.2 General <br /> Standards_. <br /> <br />i (5) Perform any other duties assigned by the cabarrus <br /> Couuty Board of Commissioners as authorized in <br /> General Statute 153;%-345. <br /> <br />I 8.3 P]anninu and Zoninc~ Commission Administn[at~on <br /> $.~-~ The Commission shall adopt rides of procedures and regulations for the <br />I conduct of its affairs. <br /> ~.~-~ The Commission shall elect a chairman and vice-chairman in accordance with <br /> its rules of procedure. The Planning and Zoning Director shall appoint a <br />i for the Board of <br /> secretary <br /> Adjustment. <br /> <br /> $.$-3 All meetings of the Commission shall be open to the pubLic~ <br />I ~.3-{ The Commission shall keep a record of its meetings, including the vote of <br /> each member on every question, a complete summary of the evidence submitted to <br />i it, dOCuments submitted to it and all official actions. <br /> 8.$-~ The Commission shall give notice of matters coming before it by causing a <br /> public notice to be placed in a newspaper of general circulation in the county. <br />I The notice shall appear once a week for two consecutive weeks, the first insertion <br /> to be not less than ten [10) days prior to the meeting date. <br /> <br />I 8.3-6 The person acting as Chairman of the Commission or the hearing officer is <br /> authorized to administer oaths to any witnesses in any matter coming before the <br /> Board. <br /> <br />I 8.~-7 Applications for concLttional use approvals, applications for variances, <br /> change of non-conforming use, and appeals for review of decisions of the Zoning <br /> Official shall be fried with the Zoning Official as agent for the Board. Applications <br />I and appeals shall be submitted on forms provided by the Zoning Official. <br /> ~.3-~ It shall be the responsibility of the Zoning Official to. notify the applicant <br />i or appellate to the application or appeal of the dispogition which the Commission <br /> made of this matter. This notice shall be made by ceztiited mail. <br /> <br /> 8.3-9 It shall be the responsibility of the zoning official to issue permits in <br />I accord with the Commission action on an appeal or application, if a permit is <br /> authorized by the Commission action. <br /> <br /> <br />
