I § 150A-35. County board of health; appointment;

<br /> I (al A county board of health shall be.the policy-making, rule-
<br /> making and adjudicatory body for a county health department.
<br /> th) The members of a county board of health shall be ap~i~d
<br /> by ~e county ~srd ofcommlssloners. The ~nrd shall be composed
<br /> of 11 members. The composition of the board shall reasonably re-
<br /> fl~t the poPulation makeup of ~e ~unty and shall include: one
<br /> physician liOn,ed ~ practice medicine in ~is S~, one licensed
<br /> ~eutlst, one }icensud op~me~i~t, one licensed veteHnarlan, one
<br /> r~g~red nurse, one licensed phurmadst, one county commis-
<br /> stoner, one profe~ioual engineer, and three represen~tives of the
<br /> general publle. All mem~rs shall ~ residen~ of the county. ]f
<br /> . ~ere is not n licen~d phy~klan a llcen~d dentist, a llcensed~p-
<br /> ~metrls~ a Iii~n~d Ve~rlnarlan, a regls~red nurse, a licensed
<br /> pha~ncist, or a professional engineer available for appointment,
<br /> an additional repre~n~tlve of the general public shall be
<br /> ~in~d. If however, one of the d~igna~d pr°fe~sions has only One
<br /> I in the the commi~ioners Shall have
<br /> pecan
<br /> tbe option of appointing that pecan or a member of ~e general
<br /> public. . -
