No. 86019.05 <br /> <br /> Sub: Award of Contract Audio Visual Package <br /> Recommendation to Award <br /> <br /> Dear Mike: <br /> <br /> As you are aware, bids were opened at 2:00 p.m. January 16th for <br /> the Audio Visual Systems contract. Enclosed is a certified bid <br /> tabulation form for your use. The low bidder for the project is <br /> Long Communications Group whose bid was $103,731.79. All bid <br /> bonds, etc., were submitted prior to the opening of the bids. In <br /> addition, this amount falls within our budget and, in fact, is <br /> approximately $10,000 under budget. <br /> <br /> Currently we are having BBN, our acoustical consultant to <br /> evaluate the package submitted under this low bid by Long <br /> Communications Group. If it appears that all of the requirements <br /> h~ve been met, we would recommend that .the Corumissioners take <br /> immediate action to award this contract for this portion of the <br /> project to Long Communications Group. <br /> <br /> We would suggest that this be done at the next Board Meeting as <br /> the recommendations from BBN will be back by that time. <br /> <br />18 Sl~ri,~.
