REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> ~( [ JAN311989 <br /> <br /> January 31, 1989 <br /> <br /> Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners <br /> James Lentz, Chairman <br /> Giles Moss, Co-chairman <br /> Martha Melvin <br /> Billy Hamby <br /> Bill Simmons <br /> <br /> Dear Sirs, <br /> <br /> I would like to request that the Register of Deeds office be <br /> permitted to maintain proprietorship of our present downstairs <br /> vault in the Courthouse. <br /> <br /> This vault is necessary for this office to store and maintain <br /> valuable records that cannot be destroyed under any circumstances, <br /> according to the State Department of Archives and History. <br /> <br /> This requesb is made in view of the fact that we are expected <br /> to be moving to the new administrative building sometime in 1990. <br /> <br /> This downstairs vault is properly equipped'~includin9 fire <br /> protection, for securing such valuable records as handwritten <br /> deeds and deeds of trust. <br /> <br /> The vault could be secured without presenting any problem to <br /> anyone occupying other portions of the register of deeds office. <br /> <br /> Thank you for your consideration in this matter. <br /> <br /> Sincerely, <br /> <br /> <br />
