FY 89 <br /> <br /> Agreement to Provide <br /> <br /> Professional Accounting Services to <br /> <br /> Cabarms County, North Carolina <br /> <br /> TI.lIS AGREEMENT, entered into this day of , 1989 and effective immedi- <br />ately by and between David M. Griffith and Associates, Ltd. (hereinafter called the "Con- <br />sultant") and Cabarrus County, State of North Carolimt (hereinafter called the "Coni]ty"), <br />WlTNESSETH THAT: <br /> WHEREAS, the County has programs which it operates with Federal fimding, and <br /> WH~RF_,AS, the County supports these programs with support services paid from <br />Coanty appropriated fnnds, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Federal government and the State will pay a fair share of these <br />costs if supported by an approved cost allocation plan, and <br /> WH~I~EAS, the Consultant is staffed with personnel knowledgeable and experi- <br />enced in the requirements of developing anti negotiating such governmental cost allocation <br />plans, and <br /> WHF_.REAS, the County desires to engage the Consuhant to assist in developing a <br />plan which conforms to Federal requirements and will he approved by their representatives <br /> NOW TItEREFORF, the parties hereto nmtually agree as follo~vs: <br /> <br /> 1. Employment of Consuhant. The County agrees to engage the Consultant and the <br />Consultant hereby agrees to perform the following serwces. <br /> <br /> 2. Scoge_ of S_ervices. The Consultant shall do, perform and carry oat in a good and <br />professional manner the following services: <br /> <br /> a. Development of a central services cost allocation phtn which identifies the <br /> various costs incnrred by the Connty to support and administer Federal <br /> programs. This phm will contain a deternfination of the allowable costs of <br /> providing each supporting service such as purchasing, legal counsel, dis- <br /> bursement processing, etc. <br /> <br /> b. Prepare indirect cost proposals for federal grants as uecessary. <br /> <br /> c. Negotiation of the completed cost allocation phm with the representatives of <br /> the State or Federal governmeat, whichever is applicable. <br /> <br /> <br />
