Pleasant Road <br /> Concord, N.C. 28081 <br /> <br /> Dear Mr. Moss: <br /> <br /> This letter is on behalf of the Cabarrus Chapter of the Concerned Bikers <br /> Association. We are a statewide non-profit organization formed by motorcycle <br /> riders and enthusiasts. <br /> <br /> We have just recently formed our chapter here in Cabarrus County, and would <br /> like to familiarize you with our organization. <br /> <br /> Concerned Bikers Association has been active in North Carolina for 15 years, <br />and is organized as a non-profit corporation in the State of North Carolina, <br />established to accomplish the following goals: <br /> <br />1. To form a united motorcycle riders organization both at the local as well as <br /> the state level. <br /> <br />2. To promote fair motorcycle legislation and to insure motorcyclists freedom <br />by working to prevent enactment of and to work to repeal unfair motorcycle <br />legislation. <br /> <br />3. To work toward the elimination of prejudicial attitudes toward motorcyclists. <br /> <br />4. To promote motorcycle education and rider t~aining programs, and public <br />motorcycle awareness programs. <br /> <br />5. TO improve the Fublic image of motorcycling by participating in public <br />serv$ce and charitable projects. <br /> <br />6. l'o foster a sense of brotherhood and cooperation between all motorcyclists. <br /> <br /> We are not a patch wearing club. C.B.A. is just a group of concerned bikers <br />who want to help our community and state, as Well as protect our rights as <br />motorcycle riders and enthusiasts. We come from all walks of life, and ride all <br />different makes of motorcycles. <br /> <br /> The Charlotte Chapter of Concerned Bikers Associa~on has talked to Mayor Sue <br />Myrick of Charlotte, and she has agreed to proclaim the month of May as Motorcycle <br />Awareness Month. The Cabarrus Chapter would like to join this statewide effort <br />to promote this public awareness program. <br /> <br /> The Cabarrus Cha@ter of Concerned Bikers would like to request your help and <br />ask you to proclaim the month of May as MOtorcycle Awareness Month also. This <br />may make drivers more aware of motorcycles on the roads, and with your help, we <br />might be able to @ossibly s~ve a life on our highways and roads. <br /> <br /> <br />
