PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, motorcycles provide both an important method of <br /> transportation and a recreational pastime; and <br /> <br />W~EREAS, motorcycle riding is a popular sport enjoyed by many <br /> of our citizens; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, motorcycle riders and enthusiasts in Cabarrus County <br /> have formed the Cabarrus Chapter of the Concerned <br /> Bikers Association; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cabarrus Chapter has joined a state-wide effort <br /> to promote a public awareness program to make <br /> drivers more aware of motorcycles on the public <br /> roads and to encourage safety at all times. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, James W. Lentz, Chairman of the <br />Cabarrus CountyBoard of Commissioners do hereby proclaim the <br />month of May as Motorcycle Awareness Month in Cabarrus County <br />and commend this observance to our citizens. <br /> <br /> This the 1st day of May, 1989. <br /> <br /> James W.
