Box 707 <br />Concord, N.C. 28025 <br /> <br /> Subject: Acceptance oF Wastewater <br /> Sowe~lfna Extensions <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Ru£fin: <br /> <br /> The City of Concord is fecal?lng requests £or lebters to be sent to the <br />Division of Environmental ManaEement statinE that the City will accept and <br />treat tha wastewater from various sewer line construction pro~eots. These <br />requests not only acme from the County~ but also from the City o£ Kannapolis <br />and the Towns of HaFrisburE and Mt. Pleasant. The County has four (4) <br />million Eallons pep day o£ reserve treatment capacity in the Reeky River <br />ReElonal Wastewater Treatment Plant which includes the wastewater flows <br />from the other Jurisdictions named. A formal method of alloeatinE capacity <br />and ErantisE approval o£ these requests should be developed to insure that <br />the County concurs with the additional commitment o£ treatment capacity. <br /> <br /> We request, until a £ormal ~lan is developed~ that the county receive <br />for evaluation~ concur ig writin~ and £ouwaud to the City of Concord the <br />requests £or such letters From those Jurisdictions using the county's <br />reserve capacity.
