RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> ~IEREAS, the Cabarrus County Board of Conuntssioners is aware of <br /> the continued §rowth In the Kanlaeon Urban Area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Oabarrus County Beard of Co~ss2oners ~s concerned <br /> with the existing and future transportation needs and. <br /> facilitiem in the Kanlacon Urban Area. <br /> <br /> NOW, THE~FO~, BE IT ~SOLVED the Oabarrus County Board of <br /> Co~issioners endorses the following projects, scheduled tn =he <br /> State Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for construction, in <br /> the Kanlaeon Urban Area: <br /> <br /> 1. Projects U-2209 and R-~246 - Proposed westside b~ass from <br /> Rainbow Drive to N.C. 49. <br /> <br /> 2. Project U-530 - Extension of N.C. 136 from Highway 73 to <br /> U.S. 601 business. <br /> <br /> Project K-2315 - Construction of Kings Grant/Charlotte <br /> Motor Speedway interohange. <br /> <br /> 4. Project 1-2303 Construction of Earnhardt Read/ <br /> Copper field interchange. <br /> <br /> BE IT F~THER ~SOLVED the Gabarrus County Board of <br /> Co~issioners also endorses the addition of the following projects <br /> in 'the Kanlacon Urban Area to che S~ate Transportation Improvement <br /> Program (TIP): <br /> <br /> 1. Widening of N.C. 49 from Harrisburg to Mt. Pleasant. <br /> <br /> 2. Extension of Earnhardt Road to both Centergrove Road and <br /> Penntnger Road. <br /> <br /> 3. Improvement of N.C. 73 from 1-85 to U.S. 29. <br /> <br /> 4.
