Board of Commissioners <br />County Courthouse <br />77 Uuion Street S. <br />Concord, N.C. 28025 <br /> <br />Dear Commissioners: <br /> <br /> This letter is in regard to the building of a <br />County Airport. What has happened to the 2% amount that the <br />County was going to be responsible for? <br /> <br /> Ail along, we were 'told that the Federal allocation <br />would be 90%, the State allocation would be 8%, and the <br />County's share would be 2%. Recently I read an article in <br />the paper that says our share will now be 33-1/3%. If that <br />is true, which I am sure it ts, plus the "extras" that will <br />be needed to pay for maintaining the airport and bu%lding <br />roads to the airport, etc. etc., I do hope that you will stop <br />and reassess the necessity of building this airport. <br /> <br /> As a taxpayer in this County, I am not looking <br />forward to having my taxes raised once <br /> <br /> As an elected representative of all the people in <br />the County, I do hope you will carefully consider the pros <br />and cons to this matter before continuing on with this <br />project. <br /> <br /> Very truly yours, <br /> <br /> Mrs. R.
