CONTRACT TO PROVIDE TAX DISTRICT FIRE SERVICE NORTH CAROLINA CABA~IUS COUNTY This contract, made and entered into this_____ day of , 19 , by aud between the Volunteer Fire Department Inc., a nonprofit corporation, and the County of Cabarrus; WITNESSETH: That for and in consideration of the mutual covenants hereinafter contained, and pursuant to authority granted by G.S 69-25.5, G.S. 69-25.6, and G.S.153A-233, the Fire Department and the County of Cabarrus do hereby covenant and agree as follows: 1. The County of Cabarrus agrees to annually levy and collect upon all taxable property lying within the Cabarrus County boundries of the Rural Fire Protection Tax District an ad valorem property tax equal to cents per one hundered ($!00.00) valuation, and after deduction of the County's administrative charge (5%) for collection of such ta;:es, to pay the same to the Volunteer Fire Departmaent Inc. All monies collected will be paid to the fire department regardless of actual dollars budgeted. 2. The Fire Department agrees to furnish and provide continuing fire protection service to all property lying within · the boundries of the Gold Hill Rural Fire Protection Tax District by dispatchin~ upon call any or all of its equipment and adequate persoanel to operate same. 3. The Tax Collector of the County of Cabarrus shall collect the ad valorem taxes so levied and shall make payment of the same to the Fire Department monthly as collections are made. ~. This contract may be terminated by either party at the end of any fiscal year by giving 90 days written notice of its intent to so terminate to the other party. In witness whereof the Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. has caused these presents to be signed by its President and attested to by its Chief, and the County of Cabarrus has caused these presents to be signed by its Chai~nan and attested by the Clerk of its Board of Co~nissioners.
