When the project is not under such <br /> regulation, the letting of contracts will be the point in <br /> time at which such signs may be posted. <br /> <br /> (16) Temporary signs except for some temporary <br /> agriculture-related signage. See Section 5.6-12~ <br /> <br /> 5.6-4 On-Premises Siqnaqe requirinq a Siqn Permit: <br /> <br /> On-premises signage is allowed in the various zoning <br /> districts of Cabarrus County as set forth in the "Table of <br /> Permitted On-Premises Signs by District", Section 3.4, page <br /> 13. It may be either freestanding si.gnage or attached to <br /> principal and accessory buildings. When attached, it is <br /> considered a part of the structure and is subject to the <br /> height sad setback regulations governing the building. <br /> <br /> 5.6-5 Off-Premises Si~naqe ~equirinq a Siqn Permit. <br /> <br /> Off-premises signage is allowed as per the regulations <br /> of specific zoning districts end the following conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. Total square siqn face area - Sign face area per <br /> sign shall not exceed 450 square feet for each side of a <br /> single-faced, side by side, back to back or V-type sign. <br /> <br /> 2. Spacinq of Off-Premise Siqnaqe. - Signage shall be <br /> spaced a minimum of one thousand (1,000) feet apart per road <br /> segment, road segment being considered to consist of both <br /> sides of the road. Only one sign shall be allowed per road <br /> segment. For example, from the point of an existing sign, <br /> the next possible sign position could be a minimum of 1,000 <br /> teat away on that eame side et the road. Or, crossing the <br /> road at a 90 degree angle, the next possible sign location <br /> could be 1,000 feet in either direction. For example: <br /> <br />either site ~exletlng either site <br /> ~ I I roadway <br /> <br /> 3. Location - No off-premise sign may be located in <br /> either the street right-of-way or the sight preservation <br /> triangle (see definitions). Off-premises signage also must <br /> be kept a minimum of twenty (20) feet from any principal use <br /> located on any contiguous lot of record. <br /> <br /> 4. Not attached - Off-premises signs are not to be <br /> attached to structures (principal or accessory). <br /> <br /> <br />
