Urban Institute DATE: 2uly 28, 1989 SUB3: MEETING TO RECEIVE TRANSPORTATION TASK FORCE REPORT As you are aware, the formal presentation of the Task Force's Report is scheduled for the regular quarterly meeting of the Carolinas Counties Coalition to be held in September. In order to assure that everyone has the appropriate background information to facilitate the discussion of the Report at the September meeting, the Task Force is calling a meeting on Aui~ust 8 ak 9:00 a.m. in Rooms 5 and 6 of the Cone Center on the campus of UNC Charlotte. In a follow-up mailing you will receive a package of information that will include the agenda for *the meeting, the preliminiary report~ a policy statement, and a question-and- answer document. The Task Force members and the staff will lead the discussion of the draft documents and respond to any questions that you might have. I apologize for the shortness of notification time for this meeting, but the Task Force's meeting for the purpose of acting on the Report was held Wednesday (3uly 26) night. · Because of the importance of this undertaking to the region, the Task Force feels that it is imperative to have the document in your hands with sufficient time to share the information with colleagues in your county. A campus map is enclosed showing the location of the Cone Center. Signs will be posted giving directions to Rooms 3 and 6. Parking is available in the parking deck near the Cone Center.
