Section 2. Collection of the tax by the Cabarrus County <br /> Finance Officer, and liability therefor, shall begin and continue <br /> on and after the 1st day of October, 1989. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The net proceeds of the tax levied herein, i.e. <br /> the gross proceeds less five percent (5%) of the amount <br /> collected, shall be distributed by the Cabarrus County :Finance <br /> Officer to the Cabarrus County Tourism Authority, or otherwise, <br /> on a monthly basis as prescribed by said enabling legislation. <br /> <br /> Section 4.
