The contractor agrees that in case of deatb, negleot, default, <br /> and/or any other circumstances that will not fulfill this contract and <br /> the attachment that are part of this contract, that the Planning <br /> Director or his designated agent has the power to terminate the con- <br /> tract and determine the value of work completed at termination to <br /> settle the contract for final pa_vment. <br /> <br /> This contract consists of the bid and proposal, the general <br />contract and specifications for work to be done for the specific <br />property involved and contract addendum. <br /> <br /> For the considerations named herein, the contractor proposes to <br />furnish all material and labor to complete work in accordance with the <br />contract identified above for the lump sum price of $ 16~79~,00 <br /> <br /> It is also understood and agreed that except as may otherwise be <br />provided by State or local ordinance, the Board of Aldermen of the <br />City of Concord, the Planning and Community Development Department of <br />Concord, and/or any employees of the City of Concord, charged with the <br />responsibility of implementing these guidelines concerning the <br />rehabilitation of substandard housing shall not be personally liable <br />for any damage that may accrue to property or persons as a result of <br />any act required or permitted in the discharge of duties under these <br />guidelines.
