Box 707
Concord, NC 28025

RE: Water Facilities to Serve Wallace Industrial Park
MDR Project No. 187-28-18

Dear Henry:

At your telephone request we have prepared project cost estimates for
two alternatives to serve water to the proposed Wallace Industrial Park
in Midland, NC. Alternative one consists of an extension of the
existing 8-inch line on US 601 to SR 1119 with au estimated cost of
$158,000.

The secodd alternative completes an 8-inch loop continuing along SR 1119
at US 601 west to SR 1117 and north to the existing 8-inch line on
SR 1123. The estimated cost for this alternative is $485,000.
Alternative 2 provide better system hydraulics with the loop. The
availability of water for future development depends on the alternative
selected and the existing customer base at the time of development.

I am enclosing three copies each of the above referenced cost estimates
and maps depicting the proposed location of the facilities. If you have
any questions or need additional information, please call.

Veryz~ll~yours,
7~,]nc' °fN°rthcar°lina
L~aul ~ Watson, Jr., P.E.
Project Manager

PCW/rs

Enclosure

cc: Mike Ruffin
