S. Department ~f <br />~ousing and Urban Development. The contractor is prohibited from discriminating <br />against any ~mployee or applicant for amployment because of race, color, religion, <br />sex, or national origin.- <br /> <br /> The contractor is required to take affirmative action to ensure that <br />applicants are e~ployed, and that em. ployees are treated during employment without <br />discrimination in connection with: <br /> <br /> - emplo~ment, promotion, demotion or transfer <br /> - recruitment or recruitment advertising <br /> - layoff or termination <br /> - rates of pay or other forms of compensation <br /> - selection for training, including apprenticeship <br /> <br /> Contractors will comply with: <br /> <br /> - Davis Bacon Act <br /> Under this Ac% contractors shall be required to pay wages to laborers <br /> and mechanics at a rate not lass than the minimum wages specified in <br /> a wage determination made by the Secretary of Labor. In addition, <br /> contractors shall be required to pay wages not less often than once <br /> a week. <br /> <br /> - Copeland "Anti-Rick Back" Act <br /> This Act provides that each contractor shall be prohibited from <br /> inducing, by any means, any person employed in the construction, <br /> completion, o~ repair of 9ublic work, to g~ve up any part of 'the <br /> compensation to which he ~s otherwise entitled. <br /> <br /> - Con%rac: Work Hours and Safety Standards Act <br /> as supplemented by the Department of Labor reoulations <br /> <br /> Contractor <br /> <br /> Authorized Signature <br /> <br /> Date <br /> <br /> <br />
