S. Department ~f <br />~ousing and Urban Development. The contractor is prohibited from discriminating <br />against any ~mployee or applicant for amployment because of race, color, religion, <br />sex, or national origin.- <br /> <br /> The contractor is required to take affirmative action to ensure that <br />applicants are e~ployed, and that em. ployees are treated during employment without <br />discrimination in connection with: <br /> <br /> - emplo~ment, promotion, demotion or transfer <br /> - recruitment or recruitment advertising <br /> - layoff or termination <br /> - rates of pay or other forms of compensation <br /> - selection for training, including apprenticeship <br /> <br /> Contractors will comply with: <br /> <br /> - Davis Bacon Act <br /> Under this Ac% contractors shall be required to pay wages to laborers <br /> and mechanics at a rate not lass than the minimum wages specified in <br /> a wage determination made by the Secretary of Labor.
