City of Concord <br /> Community Development Program <br /> <br /> REHABILITATION WORK CONTRACT (GENERAL) <br /> <br />Name Addle and Marshall McCullouqh <br />Address 181 Stone Avenue Date July 27., 1985 <br /> <br />Location ~Concord, N.C. 28025 Telephone (704) 784-2954 <br /> <br /> The undersigned contractor proposes to furnish labor and <br />materials complete in accordance with specifications shown on work <br />write-up, being a part of this contract, for the sum of $ 16.79%~90 , <br />with payment to be made in a lump sum after approved final inspection <br />of Community Development Program designee. Partial interim payments <br />not .exceeding 80% of the cost of materials and labor used at the time <br />may be made to the contractor provided he meets the same conditions <br />required for final payment. <br /> <br /> Ail materials are guaranteed to be as specified. All work to be <br />completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices. <br />Any alteration or deviation from specifications involving extra costs <br />will be executed only upon prior approval of Community Development <br />Program, and will become an extra charge over and above the estimate <br />or bid. However, no extra costs will be paid when the contractor has <br />grossly neglected to properly evaluate extent of the rehabilitation <br />work. <br /> <br /> The contractor in all cases shall leave the work in a finished <br />condition as determined by acceptable standards and the Community <br />Development Program. All agreements are contingent upon strike~, <br />accidents or Acts of God. The homeowner shall carry fire, extended <br />coverages and all other necessary insurance to protect property. <br /> <br /> The contractor will furnish to the Planning and Community <br />Development Department a Certificate of Insurance stating he carries <br />Workmen's Compensation, Comprehensive Public Liability Insurance for <br />not less than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) in the event <br />of bodily injury including death and one hundred thousand dollars <br />($100,000.00) in the event of property damage arising out of the work <br />performed by the contractor's employees or the employees of any sub- <br />contractor in accordance with state or local laws governing workmen's <br />compensation. The above coverage will protect the owner and the City <br />of Concord from any and all claims. <br /> <br /> The bid and proposal shall be accepted by homeowner and the <br />Planning and Community Development Department within 30 days after <br />date of contract.
