Box 707
Concord, North Carolina 28025

Re: Cabarru$ County vs.
Robert C. Goodman and
wife Johnnie A. Goodman
and James B. Goodman and
wife Barbara Goodman
Dear Mike:

On October 10, 1989, we advised Cecil Jenkins, counsel for
the Goodmans in the above-captioned matter, that demolition of
the store building on the proposed Senior Center site might
proceed within thirty (30) days. We were personally present
several days later when Mr. Jenkins telephoned Mr. Goodman and
reminded him to remove any personal property located therein in
anticipation of demolition.

More than thirty (30) days have now elapsed since the
notice. We suggest someone be employed to examine the roof of
the building for asbestos and that notice of its proposed
demolition be forwarded to the Mooresville office of the
Department of Natural Resources and Community Development. At
least fourteen (14) days notice must be given to the state agency
prior to demolition.

Please advise if you have any further questions.
Sincerely yours,

HARTSELL, HARTSELL & MILLS, P.
