The material includes a cover letter from Secretary Flaherty. In addition to County Directors of Social Services, the information is being distributed to the following indivldnals, Chairmen of Boards of County Commis$,ioners Chairmen o[ Social Services Boards Presidents of Community Colleges Superiutendents of Public Schools Service Delivery Area Directors Private Industry Council Chairs Employment Security Commission Managers Community Action Agency Directors Vocational Rehabilitation Managers On the page in the package that describes the purpose of the conference ~e have included other local service providers in the llst of individuals who should participate. This gives you the option of invitleg individ~als from your community you consider vital to your JOBS planning activities who are not otherwise invited. For example, you may want to invite a day care or literacy program director. You also bare the option of having a member of your staff, such as an assistant director, participate if they rather than you, will carry the primary JOBS planning responsibilities. Keep in mind that the conference is not designed as training for staff wbo may work ~n JOBS. Staff training will be conducted during calendar year 1990. The number of participants is limited to 600 individnals. Please consider this as you think about other service providers and staff yon wish to invite to the conference.
