The material includes a cover <br /> letter from Secretary Flaherty. In addition to County Directors of Social <br /> Services, the information is being distributed to the following indivldnals, <br /> <br /> Chairmen of Boards of County Commis$,ioners <br /> Chairmen o[ Social Services Boards <br /> Presidents of Community Colleges <br /> Superiutendents of Public Schools <br /> Service Delivery Area Directors <br /> Private Industry Council Chairs <br /> Employment Security Commission Managers <br /> Community Action Agency Directors <br /> Vocational Rehabilitation Managers <br /> <br /> On the page in the package that describes the purpose of the conference <br /> ~e have included other local service providers in the llst of individuals <br /> who should participate. This gives you the option of invitleg individ~als <br /> from your community you consider vital to your JOBS planning activities who <br /> are not otherwise invited. For example, you may want to invite a day care <br /> or literacy program director. <br /> <br /> You also bare the option of having a member of your staff, such as an <br /> assistant director, participate if they rather than you, will carry the <br /> primary JOBS planning responsibilities. Keep in mind that the conference is <br /> not designed as training for staff wbo may work ~n JOBS. Staff training <br /> will be conducted during calendar year 1990. The number of participants is <br /> limited to 600 individnals. Please consider this as you think about other <br /> service providers and staff yon wish to invite to the conference. <br /> <br /> <br />
