Assisted with annexation <br /> question. <br /> <br /> Emergency Services Activities <br /> <br />- Met with Kannapolis Police Chief to review first draft of the Kannapolis Police <br /> Department standard operating procedures manual. <br /> <br /> Aging Activities <br /> <br />Title V Senior Community Service Employm~ent Program <br /> <br />- Prepared Title V Contract Amendment to ineorporate additional funds approved for <br /> LIFE Center, Inc. <br /> <br />Long Term Care Ombudsman Program <br /> <br />- Provided staff support to Nursing and Domiciliary Home Community Advisory <br /> Committees at quarterly meetings including training and assistance with grievance <br /> resolution. <br /> <br />- Wrote "Ombudsman Outlook"- newsletter on long term care issues. <br /> <br />Training <br /> <br />- Conducted bidder's workshop on Title III social and nutrition services for FY'89. <br /> JTPA Activities <br />- Reviewed and corrected Monthly Performance Reports from contractors. <br />- Processed requests for funds from program contractors. <br />- Provided technical assistance to JTPA contractor staff. <br /> <br />- Attended PET Technical Assistance Workshop in Morehead City on January 19-21, <br /> 1988 regarding PY'88 Planning Process and PY'88/'39 Two Year Job Training Plan. <br /> <br />- Conducted planning session and provided technical assistance to the Job <br /> Placement/Dropout Prevention Consultant with the Southwest Regional Education <br /> Center on January 29, 1988 in preparation for upcoming training session on February <br /> 8, 1988. <br /> <br />- Met with the Manpower Area Representative of Employment Security Commission <br /> on January 12, 1988 to obtain overview of the 3% Older Worker Programs in Cabarrus, <br /> Stanly, and Union Counties, as a part of the PY'88 Job Training Plan initiative. <br /> Also discussed Title I1A and lIB activities and projections for PY'88. <br /> <br /> <br />
